The things I do call for intuition, flexibility, and an eye for detail. I’m definitely not a unicorn, but when something new comes along, I get the hang of it pretty fast — even when it’s outside my "profile". Back in my early “graphics-only” days, I was once asked to build a website using a CMS nobody had ever heard of — no plugins, no documentation, nothing. For every custom feature, I had to dive into SQL and Perl! Easy work for a developer maybe, but for me, it was the moment to evolve.

1975

Primordial consciousness decided to manifest itself as Anastasios Pappas.

1984

Fun fact: in my third year of primary school, I was accused of having my mom do my calligraphy homework. Ouch. That’s when I learned how important timing is — and that sometimes it’s smart to play dumb… until it’s time to prove your skills.

1992

Got my first home computer and was still torn between becoming an architect, a designer, or… a geologist! I’ve always loved natural phenomena, but that old “Mystify” screensaver got me thinking — computers were definitely part of the plan.

1993

High school: complete!
Time to get serious — and start learning new stuff.

1994

Attended workshops at Berufsschulzentrum Glockenspitz (Krefeld, Germany) in collaboration with Delta Schools of Business and Technology for their European Partnership. Topics included creative analysis and brainstorming, plate production, and industrial printshop processes.

1995

It's official - OEEK certification complete! I could finally call myself a graphics designer.

1999

Graphics Designer you said? Well, not exactly...
New job as a Web & User Interface Designer at Istos S.A. where HTML, CSS, JS, XML, and XSLT became my new best friends.

Also, some recognition rolled in: an Honorable mention and Monthly Prize at the 9th Corel World Design Contest, plus 1st Prize in World Web Design Contest by IAAF.

2002

Gold Ermis Award
Winner in the "Individual Sites" category.
That's something, right?

2003

Started a long-term collaboration with Likno Software - still as a Web & UI Designer, but now stepping into desktop application design for the first time.

Also took home 1st Prize in the National Web Design Contest by IEK Akmi.

2006

Open for business!
Became a full-time freelancer, offering everything from logos, business cards, and social media visuals to complete website design solutions for Wordpress. That included software installation, setup, and theme/plugin customization - basically, the full package.

2007

Joined C3 Media Ltd., delivering responsive e-commerce layouts for the Magento platform. That partnership lasted nearly 15 years - a solid chapter of design and growth!

2013

Working with Special Tours Wholesalers Ltd., creating graphics, HTML, and CSS for most of the AllAboutHotels.com and stglobe.com media. Projects spanned website redesigns, Flash banners (yes, those!), social media content, and full marketing campaigns.

2017

Aneo & Aneo Wide font families!
My first complete typeface project, based on earlier custom character work. Because let's be honest - Free stuff is good. :)
